Carly Wishart, AirTrunk’s newly appointed Managing Director, Corporate & International, joined an AI infrastructure panel at this year’s The Australian Financial Review AI Summit in Sydney.
Moderated by Emma Rapaport of the Financial Review, the expert panel discussed how investment in data centres will support Australia’s transition to a smart economy, helping increase productivity, the energy transition and new economy jobs.
Carly emphasised the urgency of seizing the AI opportunity and positioning Australia “at the forefront of that investment.”
Touching on the role data centres play in supporting the energy transition, Carly highlighted the work AirTrunk is doing, including renewable power purchase agreements, engaging with utilities for effective planning and exploring battery storage across multiple markets.
